MEditor ships a built-in MCP server over stdio, so Claude Desktop, Cursor, or any MCP client can read, write, patch and search your workspace through the same 11 tools the in-app Agent uses — no editor window required. Shell commands stay off by default. And it goes both ways: MEditor is also an MCP client — point it at your other MCP servers and their tools join the Agent's toolbox. Still pre-1.0: we follow semantic versioning and call out breaking changes in the CHANGELOG — there have been none so far. 1.0 arrives when today's feature set has shipped stable for a full release cycle — no date promised, no features held back.
